We are getting closer every day to the possibility of nuclear war. Atomic scientists point out that humanity, beginning 2025, faces an unprecedented level of danger. We must respond urgently, as if today were the most dangerous moment in modern history.
The US-led North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) regimes, who continue to fund and send lethal weapons to the Ukrainian government, refuse to hold peace negotiations to end hostilities. The conflict is now not only taking place in Ukraine, but Ukraine is attacking Russian territory.
In the Middle East, the genocide in Gaza continues, financed by NATO regimes with the consequence of incalculable deaths, unimaginable devastation and nightmares of extreme brutality and pain. The International Court of Justice has declared that Palestinians have the right to be protected from acts of genocide, but the escalation of aggression continues with impunity.
The possibility of a nuclear war would not only affect Ukraine or Russia but all of Europe, as well as the rest of the world, which would be affected not only by radioactive contamination but also by the “nuclear winter.” Costa Rica does not escape – its inhabitants and its tropical biodiversity are in danger. Most species will not survive nuclear winter.
In 1967, Costa Rica ratified the Tlatelolco Treaty, which created a nuclear weapons-free zone in Latin America. Additionally, along with 73 countries, it ratified the Treaty to Abolish nuclear weapons. These weapons violate international law, are inhumane and indiscriminate.
Let us denounce the main culprits: the mafia associated with the Anglo-Zionist military-industrial financial complex that governs most of the Western world along with its colonies.
Let’s learn about initiatives to stop nuclear war and join forces:
