Während die deutschen mainstream-medien nach der Ermordung Juliano Mer Khamis mehrheitlich noch am heutigen Tag seiner beerdigung in Jenin den Eindruck vermittlen, es sei die Tat eines militanten Palästinensers gewesen und dazu noch offizielle israelische Quellen nutzen, weist Gilad Atzmon , der ex-israelische Jazzer (orient-house-ensemble) darauf hin, wie der Staat Israel palituchtragende Spezialkommandos für den Einsatz in palästinensischen Gebieten ausbildet und einsetzt (siehe weiter unten).
Dass die Mainstream-Medien die Ermordung Julianos quotensteigernd ausschlachten, war nicht anders zu erwarten – Nachrichten sind Waren und werden gewinnbringend verkauft -wenn dabei noch etwas Information hersausspringt, muss man von Glück sagen. Was bei der gewinnbringenden medialen Ausschlachtung Julianos allerdings sehr widerlich ist, ist die Tatsache, dass von ard bis zdf, von der Allgemeinen FAZ über die taz bis zur ZEIT zwar der Gewinn eingestrichen wird, aber unter keinem der Artikel findet man einen Hinweis, eine Aufforderung, die Arbeit des Freedom Theatres und von medico international zu unterstützen. Juliano Mer-Khamis was murdered today in Jenin

alestinian genius film maker, actor and political activist Juliano Mer-Khamis, 53, was shot dead on Monday in Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank.
According to Jenin police chief Mohammed Tayyim, Mer-Khamis was shot five times by Palestinian militants, but that police were still investigating the circumstances of his murder. I would wait to learn more about the tragic incident; as we know, the IDF trains special units that are operating disguised as Palestinians militants. Mer-Khamis was well-known as an actor for his film and theater roles, both in Israel and abroad, and had made a name for himself as a director and a political activist, as well.
Mer-Khamis was affiliated with the local theater in Jenin, established by his mother in the 1980s. In 2006, Mer-Khamis opened the Freedom Theater in Jenin, along with Zakariya Zubeidi, the former military leader of the Al-Aqsa Martyr Brigades in that West Bank city.
Mer-Khamis‘ mother, Arna Mer, was an Israeli Jewish activist for Palestinian rights. His father, Saliba Khamis, was a Christian Palestinian. Mer-Khamis was born and raised in Nazareth.

Mistaravim
Mistaravim (Hebrew: ????????, lit. Arabized)is the name given to those counter-terrorism units of the Israel Defense Forces in which soldiers are specifically trained to disguise themselves as Arabs in order to kill or capture a wanted terrorist. These are also commonly known as the ‚Arab Platoons‘. In Tom Clancy’s Op-Center: Acts of War, it is stated that Mistaravim do not allow their real identities to become known to people outside their unit, and that even when they are undercover, they go to great lengths to avoid being recorded. They are also said to be trained in counter-detection of human or mechanical surveillance.

Training for these units is about fifteen months:
- Four months basic infantry training in the Mitkan Adam army base – the IDF Special Training Center.
- Two and a half months of advanced infantry training in the same base.
- Two months unit’s basic training, which focus on advanced urban navigation exercises and the beginning of CT training.
- Four months Mistaravim course, which covers everything from learning the Arabs‘ traditions, language and their way of thought to civilian camouflage (hair dying, contact lenses, Arabs‘ clothing).
- One-month courses – sniper, driving and different instructors courses.

Two of these units are:
- Shimshon (Unit 367), which operated in the Gaza Strip. It was disbanded in 1994 after the Oslo peace talks.
- Duvdevan (Unit 217), which operates in The West Bank.
